Yoga Intensive
Step into an extended study retreat at La Borde Blanque in Antugnac, a focused 11-day (10-night) immersion blending classical yoga philosophy with sustained practice. This intensive is aimed at experienced practitioners and teachers who want to move from intellectual understanding into embodied wisdom: close readings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, daily asana, pranayama and progressive meditation training. Expect a soulful, disciplined rhythm that turns study into living practice.
Highlights at a glance:
- Deep textual study & practical application of the 8 limbs
- Daily “shakti” morning practices (Ashtanga, Kriya, Vinyasa) and quieter evening “shiva” practices (Yin, long holds)
- Focus on bandhas, mudras, pranayama and sequencing for teaching/teaching-ready practice
Practice & Curriculum
The curriculum interweaves theory and embodied practice so philosophy isn’t just discussed — it’s lived. Mornings build heat and capacity with dynamic practices; afternoons and evenings emphasize restorative work, pranayama, and multiple meditation lines that train attention toward higher states. Workshops cover practical teaching skills (sequencing, fascia-aware practice), nutritional considerations, and how to design sustainable daily practices.
What you’ll work on (examples):
- Detailed study of Chapters I & II of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and key passages from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika
- Asana variations for different bodies, bandha/mudra practice, and advanced pranayama protocols
- Progressive meditation training across several traditions, with guidance on integrating practice into daily life
