Go to the sea on a coast where the water does the cooling work \u2014 the Aegean at 25\u00b0C, Bali&#8217;s Indian Ocean, the Alentejo surf coast.<\/p><p>Or go west \u2014 Essaouira on the Moroccan Atlantic, where the aliz\u00e9 wind keeps temperatures a full ten degrees below what Marrakech is doing inland. The retreats that know what July is and build their programme around it produce genuinely good weeks.
